Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns have shown their faith in Pitso Mosimane by handing the former Bafana Bafana coach a four-year contract.

According to KickOff, Mosimane confirmed that he put ink to paper following a successful season at the Chloorkop club.

"I have signed it and delivered it to the club," Mosimane said.

"But you know a contract is only worth so much. I had a contract with Bafana Bafana and I was fired."

The 51-year-old steered the Pretoria side to a Cup double winning the Telkom Knockout and Absa Premiership.

Mosimane took over the coaching post in 2012 following his underwhelming tenor as the South African senior national coach.

The coach has since delivered two PSL titles, a Nedbank Cup and more recently a Telkom Knockout triumph late last year.

Meanwhile, the Brazilians continued their strong start to the CAF Champions League with a 2-1 victory over Enyimba at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday evening.
