Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits that he won't be taking Sunday's Nedbank Cup clash against Highlands Park lightly.

The last-32 encounter takes place at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa on Sunday afternoon at 15:00.

While Sundowns are the form team in South Africa's top flight, Highlands Park are doing very well in the National First Division, currently lying third and in with a shot at promotion to the Premiership for next season.

And with former Platinum Stars boss Allan Freese at the helm, Sundowns coach Mosimane is taking nothing for granted against the Lions of the North.

"You know the story of the FA Cup. You know what happens in the FA Cup. The FA Cup has got surprises," Mosimane was quoted as saying by KickOff.

"The Nedbank Cup has given us names like Baroka. I think you know what happened. It has given names like Maluti, it has given names like Black Leopards. We can never take for granted that Highlands Park is a win.

"You know Freese is very difficult. All the times I played him in a cup I think maybe I have won once or not. I think he has won more against us. He is a difficult coach, he is a very good coach. He will fight, he has big boys in his team. We have to earn it," added the Brazilians mentor.
