Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has hailed the high level of competition among the title contenders in the Absa Premiership.

It has been a tight race at the top of the table, with Sundowns on 30 points, Mpumalanga Black Aces (30 points), Wits (29 points) and Kaizer Chiefs (25 points) all in the running for the title.

Only five points separate the top four teams in the league table and there is no clear favourite to lift the Premiership at the end of this season.

"I see this as a rollercoaster every week, it's beautiful. What I like, we now have one party that has come in which is Aces," Mosimane told KickOff.

"It's good and maybe the focus will also now shift a little bit away from Sundowns because Wits is still in it. I still believe Chiefs is part of it to be honest. It's a long way, it's exciting.

"It's a very strange but very exciting league. We lost to Golden Arrows and they go beat Pirates. We lost to Aces and Aces go to Wits and win. Wits scored four goals against Platinum Stars and what a rollercoaster.

"Chippa United can afford to hold Chiefs for a draw...Tuks can hold Chiefs for a draw but Chiefs can easily beat Aces. It's unbelievable."
