Cape Town - Cape Town City midfielder Roland Putsche believes the club can start scoring more goals in matches as they continue to work hard at training to get better.

The Austrian has become a pivotal part of the side in his three seasons for the Mother City-based outfit, and is a regular starter under coach Benni McCarthy.

Nonetheless, the 27-year-old insists the team can still find ways to improve especially when it comes to finding the back of the net.

Speaking to KickOff, he said: "Everyone wants a good start to a season, and I think I achieved that

"But for me, it's not about one good performance or one good goal, it's about consistency, that is what football is all about.

"It will come (the goals). Sometimes you have to earn your goals, and I can see the boys working on a daily basis, putting in the work. Sooner or later it will get rewarded."

City are next in action after the completion of the international break when they meet Kaizer Chiefs on September 15 at the Cape Town Stadium.
