Cape Town - Chippa United winger Thabo Rakhale is
happy to once again be playing under Eric Tinkler, a coach who he
remembers well from their time at Orlando Pirates.
Rakhale made his first start during the Tinkler era at Chippa in the Chilli Boys' 0-0 draw with Golden Arrows last weekend.
He shone under the Roodepoort-born coach during Pirates' run to the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup final, and although he has admitted that the Chilli Boys are struggling somewhat to adjust to Tinkler's methods, the same cannot be said of him.
"I worked with Tinkler before and I can say I understand what type of a person he is because even now he hasn't changed his philosophy that we used to play at Pirates," Rakhale said, according to KickOff.
"For me it is simple. I think, I'm not sure, but I think the guys are struggling a bit with what he wants. But as for me, I understand him. I think you saw even at the game I was doing the work and that is what he wants.
"It is important to help the team and the rest is a bonus for me.
"The most important thing is to enjoy myself and contribute to the team, that's it."
Since taking charge of the Port Elizabeth-based side, Tinkler has lost to SuperSport United and beaten Baroka apart from the draw with Abafana Bes'thende.
