Cape Town - Platinum Stars striker Eleazar Rodgers was elated after his brace secured a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday.

Rodgers scored two late goals to snatch the points after Camaldien Abraw had put Chiefs ahead in the first-half.

With the victory, Dikwena moved within touching distance of Chiefs in the Absa Premiership standings, just two points off Steve Komphela's team with a game in hand.

"I'm just happy I could score two goals for the coach Cavin Johnson, you know he has to get his subs right to change the game and it all just paid off," Rodgers told KickOff.

"Everything happens for the good of those who believe in God and I'm trying to hold myself together, it's unbelievable, it's my home ground, I feel really good that I scored two goals and even better that we won the game.

"I'm happy I could come in and do the business. I'm a striker and I'm supposed to score. We've been doing well but we've been struggling to get some points and today we got it, now we can pick ourselves up and just look forward."
