Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed two injury concerns as the Premiership resumes this weekend.

Andile Jali and Kermit Erasmus picked up injuries while on duty for Bafana Bafana during the mandatory FIFA international break and Mokwena admits to it being a major concern.

"We are sweating, and we are a bit concerned about some of the players. We are concerned about AJ (Andile Jali), he hasn't trained with us, but we are getting good feedback from the doctors, so we have to see on AJ and assess (him) leading up to the game," Mokwena told the media.

"And Kermit, when he comes back from Bafana, we will have to assess because, with a muscular injury and all these niggles, studies always show that a niggle always relates to an injury 75% of the time so it is important that we have to treat that as a serious precaution and we will get our medical department to have a look and see because Kermit is very important to us.

"We also have to check the players that have come back, Peter (Shalulile), they have been all over Africa and Brian Onyango, we have to check Thapelo (Morena) and Lyle (Lakay) and see where they are in terms of conditioning and recovery and readiness for the match and that is going to be the most important thing to integrate them. We are sweating but it is a good sweat because we have a very good squad and enough depth."

The Brazilians will seek to maintain their first-place lead on the log with a feisty encounter against AmaZulu on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
