Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defensive midfielder Issa Sarr wants to reclaim a regular spot in the Buccaneers' starting line-up.

Sarr has fallen out of favour at Pirates recently, with Gift Motupa preferred ahead of him in the CAF Confederation Cup last year.

The Senegalese player will be ready if called upon when Bucs take on University of Pretoria at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.

"We are all important as players at Orlando Pirates. As a player it's true I would want to play more regularly," Sarr told Goal website.

"I am still happy whenever I am given the chance to play. The important thing is that we have to be together as a team and win games together and we are working on that together.

"It's not always easy, but we are pushing hard all the time."
