Cape Town - Thabo September feels the professionalism and man-management style of Stuart Baxter at SuperSport United has galvanized the squad.

September decided to reverse his decision to retire at the end of the season after Baxter re-ignited his fading career, and feels the former Kazier Chiefs boss makes every squad player feel valued as they understand their role within the team.

"The coach treats every player in the squad with great respect and professionalism. And we can only return that," the veteran defender told The Sowetan.

"He gives players an opportunity to express their views. He's got an open door. Players are not afraid to ask questions and he'll give you directions if you don't understand things."

Baxter has built a reputation of being an organized and tactically astute manager during his time in the Premiership, and September admits it's made a major difference in the way they approach fixtures.

United face Platinum Stars on Sunday in an Absa Premiership encounter.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
