Stellenbosch have warned supporters not to attend home games by occupying viewing spots in the mountain surrounding the Danie Craven Stadium.

Fans of the Cape-based club were seen to be enjoying their team in action during the 1-1 draw with Swallows last month.

Supporters are not allowed to attend sporting events throughout the world in a continued attempt to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

A brief statement from Stellies on Twitter read: "For your safety we ask that you please refrain from attempting to use mountain routes to gain access to watch our boys in action.

"SAPS and a security detail will be used to ensure the areas remain a no-go zone on match day. Stay safe and support us from home!"

Stellenbosch host Chippa United at the Danie Craven Stadium in their upcoming encounter this weekend.
