Baroka edged Stellenbosch 3-2 in an intriguing DStv Premiership clash at the Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Evidence Makgopa broke the deadlock on 39 minutes before adding a second with 59 minutes played.
Gerald Phiri Jr then appeared to kill off the game with a third goal for the away side on 89 minutes - only for Stanley Dimgba to pull a goal back on 89 minutes and Ryan Moon to ensure a tense final few seconds for Baroka, with his 92nd minute penalty.
Stellenbosch dominated the opening exchanges but without really threatening their opponents.
Dean Van Rooyen was first with an effort with a looping attempt from a very wide position before Leletu Skelem fired over from range.Lee Langeveldt denied Baroka from a 19th minute free-kick as Nathan Sinkala was off target on 29 minutes.Makgopa tnough netted with a neat finish, against the run of play to hand his side a first-half advantage.Makgopa couldn't be stopped as he connected to a pinpoint Kgodiso Monama pass just before the hour mark, while Phiri found himself one on one with Langeveldt in the dying minutes, and he made no mistake with his finish. But it was a nervy final few minutes for Baroka, as first Dimgba strolled in for his goal after being played in by Skelem before Moon converted a very late spot-kick.The result though saw Baroka halt a two-match losing run to end the afternoon on 15 points in eighth place, with Stellenbosch in ninth with 14 points.
