Cape Town - SuperSport United have confirmed they have received an offer for their New Zealand international marksman, Jeremy Brockie.

The Pretoria club did not say which club have made enquiries, but according to Soccer Laduma website, it's African champions Mamelodi Sundowns who are after his services.

SuperSport CEO Stan Matthews confirmed the interest in the 29-year-old forward to the same publication, saying: "I've had approaches for Jeremy, but he's still very much our player. And, until we've appointed a new coach, I'm not making any decisions on the squad."

United are without a head coach after Stuart Baxter was given the Bafana Bafana job earlier this month, although he will still be in charge for the Nedbank Cup final on June 24.

Brockie recently signed a new contract with Matsatsantsa and as such would likely carry a heavy price tag.

Especially when his goal-scoring feats in the PSL are taken into account - he has netted 40 goals (38 domestically and two in Africa) in his two-and-a-half seasons with SuperSport.

With Leonardo Castro having failed to replicate his first season at Sundowns, the Tshwane side are lacking a central target-man.
