Moroka Swallows claimed their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic at Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Celtic were the last time Swallows beat in the top-flight before their relegation to the NFD in 2014.
Swallows started like a house on fire and Lebohang Mokoena's ball to Ruzaigh Gamildien was a good one, but the assistant referee put his flag up for offside.
With 15 minutes gone, Lantshene Phalane ran into space after receiving a ball from Lucky Baloyi and he fired a decent long-range effort towards goal but in the end it was rather comfortable for Virgil Vries in the Swallows goal.
On the half-hour mark, Celtic won a corner and it was floated in by Ishmael Tumelo Njoti but the header from Harris Brandt was wide.
It was a feisty encounter, with plenty of yellow cards being picked up for some hefty challenges. Swallows had controlled the game but Celtic had looked dangerous on the counter-attack as the sides went in to the half-time break.
Celtic took off Njoti at the interval and replaced him with Victor Letsoalo, goalscorer in Phunya Sele Sele's last match.
Three minutes after the break, Tlakusani Mthethwa's right footed shot from outside the box was just a bit too high after being assisted by Given Thibedi.
Soon after, Gamildien shot narrolwy over after being fed by Mokoena as the hosts continued to boss the game.
And Swallows deservedly broke the deadlock with ten minutes to go when Gamildien drilled the ball across goal and it came off Celtic midfielder Ronald Pfumbizai on its way in to the back of his own net.
