Free agent Thabo Rakhale has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The 30-year-old winger was released by Chippa United on Wednesday after his contract with the club expired.
He joined Chilli Boys from Orlando Pirates in January 2018 and established himself as an important first-team player, netting five goals and creating a further 10 in 68 appearances.Rakhale is now a free-agent, with Chiefs a potential destination, say reports, although with the club currently in the process of appealing a FIFA transfer ban, it remains to be seen if Amakhosi will be allowed to make any new signings next season.Speaking to KickOff, Rakhale said: "Honestly speaking, I know players are always saying it's just rumours, but this is true, it was just a rumour. I don't know anything about that."Maybe my agent knows something that I don't, or maybe there's someone who knows but I don't know. No one has started talking to me.
"It's actually surprised me because I know that they can't sign players now, yet there's people saying they are interested in me, which doesn't make sense."
He added: "If there's interest, you never know what's going to happen. I'm just going to see, when the time arrives, where things will take me, because I've been all over - from Mafikeng, Gauteng, Nelspruit, Polokwane and now in Eastern Cape, so right now I don't know what the future holds for me."
