Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho believes he has what it takes to succeed in Europe while admitting he just needs to remain patient.

The South African international has been linked with various moves abroad since making his debut for Bafana as a 20-year old but joined the Soweto giants in 2012 from Bloemfontein Celtic for a reported fee of R2m.

Since his arrival at Naturena, Tower has developed into one of the most highly-rated central defenders on the African continent and after Amakhosi's record breaking 2014-15 season he was expected to make a move abroad but an untimely injury scuppered any potential transfer.

The 25-year old believes if he stays injury free until the end of the current campaign, he's long-term dream will be realised.

"Yes, I still believe and know that I can make it in Europe. I just need to keep on working hard at Chiefs and also ensure that I remain injury free," Mathoho told Soccer Laduma.

"One day my time will come to move overseas and play there."

Mathoho has featured 108 times and scored 10 goals since joining the Glamour Boys in 2012.
