AmaZulu moved into the top half of the DStv Premiership standings in seventh place following a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Stellenbosch FC at Kings Park Stadium.

Meanwhile, Stellies are three points behind in 10th position.

Thembela Sikhakhane came back into the starting line-up for AmaZulu in their only change.

Stellies coach Steve Barker made no alterations to his starting line-up.

In the 17th minute, Lehlohonolo Majoro whipped in a teasing cross which almost resulted in a Stellies' own goal.

Stellies took the lead in the 27th minute when left-back Marc van Heerden headed home from Stanley Dimgba's cross.

In the 35th minute, Majoro went on a powerful run and managed to cross the ball but Siyethemba Sithebe missed the opportunity to get it on target.

Usuthu were back in it six minutes later.

Majoro did well to set up the opportunity for Bongi Ntuli, who finished on his left into the bottom right-hand corner.

Benni McCarthy's side then took the lead for the first time in the match eight minutes after the interval when Majoro finished at the second attempt after his initial effort was saved.

Stellies were pressing for the equaliser but they found an immovable force in Veli Mothwa in the AmaZulu goal.

And try as they might, Stellies were not able to find a way back into the game as the hosts came away with the three points.
