Cape Town - SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams has refused to take the credit for the 4-2 penalty shootout win over University of Pretoria on Tuesday.

Matsatsantsa marched into the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup via a shootout following a 3-3 draw at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Williams saved spot kicks from Botshelo Mfulwane and Partson Jaure to help SuperSport secure the last-eight position in the competition.

"It is, and sometimes it's luck as well. You just go there, push hard, go, if you choose one side just go there, if you get it, so be it," Williams told SuperSport.

"It was a very tough game, very open game. We gave away two silly goals in the second-half."

The 'keeper said that it was a typical cup football match and feels that the intensity of the win is a wake-up call for them.
