Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns forward Yannick Zakri is reportedly set to leave the ABSA Premiership leaders this month on a six-month loan deal.

Reports have surfaced in local media, that Chippa United head coach Teboho Moloi is a keen admirer of the Ivory Coast international.

The 26-year-old arrived with high hopes from ASEC Mimosas after catching they eye of Masandawana in the CAF Champions League. But with a return of six goals in 37 games, coach Pitso Mosimane is open to allowing the player to regain his form elsewhere.

Sundowns have remained mum when pressed on the rumours, as spokesman Thulani Thuswa spoke to Goal.

"I am not aware of anything as the team is currently in camp (as they prepare to take on Polokwane City on Saturday)," Thuswa said.

"We will have to hear from the coach, it is up to him whether he wants to keep him (Zakri)."
