Cape Town - Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour deems Mamelodi Sundowns used 'magic' in the first-leg of the CAF Champions League final.

The Brazilians inflicted damage on the Egyptian giants hopes of claiming Africa's biggest club prize with a 3-0 defeat in Pretoria last week.

Pitso Mosimane's charges outplayed Zamalek throughout the 90 minute match following goals from Anthony Laffor, Tebogo Langerman and an own goal by Islam Gamal.

Mansour believes that Gamal's own goal was the exact same own goal Ali Gabr had scored during the group stage phase which helped Sundowns' cause to push on to the next round.

“I want to tell everybody to not make fun of our claims that there was something suspicious in Islam Gamal’s own goal‚” Mansour said as quoted by TimesLIVE.

“It is abnormal that Islam Gamal scores an own goal in the same way Ali Gabr scored with before with the same foot and in the same net.

"It is not necessary that it is Sundowns who have used magic‚ look for the former Zamalek players who were expelled from the club.”

Sunday's second-leg is scheduled for a 20:30 kick-off (SA time).
