Josef Zinnbauer insists Orlando Pirates will have "no gifts" for opponents Sagrada Esperanca when the two sides meet in their CAF Confederation Cup clash just a few days before Christmas.
Pirates are unbeaten in 14 consecutive matches and come into this game on the back of their MTN8 final success, followed by a 1-0 defeat of Chippa United in their DStv Premiership tie on Wednesday.
While the rest of the country gears up for their summer holiday, Pirates are concentrated on ending the year on a high with victory in Angola on Tuesday.
Ahead of the game, Zinnbauer was reported by KickOff to have said: "We have a special time [in the festive season], it's a trip close to Christmas and it's not easy for the players – maybe they want to be with family and need [to go and get] a lot of gifts maybe for their families.
"But we are football players and we have to concentrate fully on this game. It's a long trip for us, it's not easy for the club to manage, but we have to fight for a point or more.
"We are happy we can go to CAF now. Yes, it's Christmas time but we have no gifts for the opponent. We have to fight for points."
