Jali ruled out of Ahly match

Johannesburg - Andile Jali has been ruled out of Orlando Pirates’ crunch match against Egyptian giants Al Ahly, the club said said on their website.

“Jali cannot play with the injury he is carrying – he has a bad tear on the muscle on his shoulder which will require an operation. He will see an orthopaedic surgeon this week for the operation on his shoulder. It should take him up to six weeks to recover,” club Doctor Thabiso Mmoledi told the club website.

The midfielder injured his shoulder on Wednesday night in the match against Polokwane City. He underwent an Xray on Friday and the results revealed that he has a tear on the muscle on his shoulder, which will see him out for up to six weeks.

Meanwhile Ahly have will be without their leading striker Emad Meteb who still is suffering from a back injury, but the the coach Mohamed Yousef is confident he will be available for their next game.

"I wanted to call Emad but he is still not fit , I now wish he recovers and will be ready for our semifinal matches" Yousef told supersport.com
