Cape Town - Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune is backing compatriot Andile Jali’s career to flourish in Europe.

The Eastern Cape-born midfielder completed a R15m move from Orlando Pirates to the Belgian side KV Oostende during the week.

“Gattuso” last featured for the Buccaneers against AmaZulu in a Premiership match played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on January 23 when the two sides shared the spoils on the night.

Speaking via Twitter on Thursday night, the Amakhosi goalkeeper advised Jali to do his best in the upcoming weekend as he is expected to make his debut for the club.

“Just hang in there mhlekazi.jst do what u do best, everything of the best,” Khune wrote.

“Show them what u made off.gud luck Tata. Do your best and God will do the rest,” he added

The South African international will team up with the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Nyasha Mushekwi, at the Belgian club.

Mushekwi was also rumoured to be on the Buccaneers’ shopping list for the current transfer window which closes later on Friday.

Jali is expected to start on the bench when Oostende clash against Sporting Charleroi on Saturday.
