Baroka FC and Black Leopards will be battling it out for a place in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on Saturday when they meet at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The quarter-final showdown is a big opportunity for both teams to build some momentum ahead of a crucial run of games in the league, where they are struggling to stave off relegation.

Bakgaga come into the cup tie with more belief than their opponents as they beat Leopards 2-0 in the Premiership last weekend thanks to a brace from Evidence Makgopa.

Lidoda Duvha, meanwhile, will be determined to avenge that defeat and potentially turn their fortunes around after a difficult string of results.

Baroka boss Dylan Kerr addressed the revenge angle, saying, "Just because we won over the weekend, it will be a revenge match for Black Leopards. There is a lot of pride at stake in the Limpopo province and all the people from Thohoyandou will possibly want the result for Leopards.

"We just have to make sure that we don't get carried away by the result from Saturday because it's a new game. That is history, it's a new game, it's history, and it is gone.

"We have to make sure that we are ready to fight and make sure that we are in the draw on Monday for the Nedbank Cup semi-finals and that is just one game to the final.

"It doesn't matter who we will play in the final, it will be about who wants to win the trophy more."

Baroka have won three of their last five games across all competitions, while Leopards are on a three-game losing streak.
