Cape Town - Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr says CAF Confederation Cup opponents SuperSport United's quality belies their lowly position in the league.

The Kenyan side have dominated the Kenyan Premier League over the last five years and have won the title 16 times.

But K'Ogalo head coach Dylan Kerr still sees his side as underdogs.

"I can't see the fact that they are struggling in the league is going to be a big difference to how they play or how they want to play," he told Soka25east.

"They are struggling in the league and their focus is to remain in the PSL, but if you look club for club we are nowhere near what they have facility wise or money wise but what we have are good and hardworking players," he added.

Having spent time as a player with Tshwane side Arcadia Shepherds, Kerr knows what kind of conditions to expect for the second leg game against SuperSport.

"It will be tough in Pretoria partly because of the altitude. We just got to make sure that when they come to Kenya we do exactly what we did against Esperance but score a goal," he explained.

SuperSport booked their spot in the paly-off round with a 2-1 aggregate win against Angola's Atletico Petroleos de Luanda in the previous round of the Confederation Cup, while Gor Mahia dropped down to the competition after they were edged 1-0 out by Esperance de Tunis in the Champions League.

While three-time league winners SuperSport are currently third from bottom in South Africa's top flight, Gor Mahia are top of the table in their country, although the Kenyan league is only into the seventh round.
