The lanky Dutch goalkeeper stopped two penalties to hand the Citizens a 4-1 victory at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.

The 24-year-old stated that he had a good feeling about winning the match and had also studied how Matsatsantsa players take their penalties.

“We should have finished the game in the first-half, we didn't want to go to penalties," Leeuwenburgh told SuperSport.

“I was actually confident especially after the win over Mamelodi in the semi-finals and I had a good feeling.

“I have to say, we did our home work again. What we did against Sundowns, we did again against Supersport.

“We knew the players and knew where they were going to go during penalties, but it's a team performance.

“You have to try and get a little bit into his mind maybe. Just showing that you are confident and try to make him scared or something like that.”
