Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has praised midfielder George Maluleka for his display in the win over SuperSport United, and believes he has much to offer.

Maluleka produced a good performance against SuperSport in last weekend's 1-0 win in a Telkom Knockout quarter-final clash.

In the encounter against United he registered the most accurate passes (49) and recorded the most touches (75) as well.

It was just the 29-year-old's third appearance of the campaign as he has battled with a string of niggling injuries for the Glamour Boys.

Solinas told reporters: "George is a very good player. Unfortunately, he started the season injured and he couldn't play for two months.

"The body and physical structure of George is strong and he's a player that needs time to reach top fitness. He's a very important player for us.

"[Against SuperSport], George performed very well because he's a midfielder that plays box-to-box, he's useful in attack [and defending].

"But I was happy with everybody. Every player gave an outstanding performance."

Amakhosi are next in action on Wednesday when they face Black Leopards in an Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
