Cape Town - Kevin Anderson took to Twitter to express his joy in reaching No 9 in the latest ATP tour rankings after his win in New York over the weekend.

And Anderson expressed his joy on social media after the updated ATP rankings were announced on Monday.

'Incredible feeling to reach a new career-high ranking. #9,' wrote a proud Anderson.

He also took time to thank his support staff and fans for their support during his run at the tournament.

'Happy to celebrate my win with my team, family and friends. Thanks to all the fans for your support and nice messages.'
