Beijing - Agnieszka Radwanska spoke of the difficulty playing Serena Williams when the world No 1 is on top form, saying she "dictated everything" at their China Open semi-final clash Saturday.

The Polish world No 4 has lost to the power-hitting American on all six occasions that they have met, and never looked like claiming her first victory in Beijing.

Top seed Williams powered to a 6-2, 6-2 victory, despite having to receive medical treatment in the second set because of a problem with her back.

Heading into the semi-final, Radwanska had claimed victory in 56 of her 71 matches this season, and is second in the "win ratio" rankings to Williams, who has lost only four of her 75 matches.

But the 24-year-old - who picked up her third WTA title of the year and 13th of her career at the Korea Open last month - said Williams was too formidable in Beijing.

"It's really hard to find the rhythm and stay in the game, because I think from the beginning she was dictating pretty much everything," Radwanska said.

"She's the player that really doesn't let you play.

"She is really just pretty much attacking everything, all the serve, all the return, and when she's really having her day, it's really tough."

Radwanska will play at the $6 million end-of-season WTA Championships in Istanbul next month.

The 2011 China Open champion in Beijing could face a re-match against reigning champion Williams at the tournament, which features the top eight women's players.

"Maybe I will just play with my left hand. Maybe that will work," Radwanska said jokingly, in response to a question on whether she would change her game for a potential meeting.

"But, like I'm saying, if she's really playing her best tennis, it's tough."

Results from the China Open in Beijing on Saturday (x denotes seeding):

Women's semi-finals

Jelena Jankovic (SRB x8) bt Petra Kvitova (CZE x9) 6-7 (7/9), 6-1, 6-1
Serena Williams (USA) bt Agnieszka Radwanska (POL x3) 6,2, 6-2
