Wimbledon - Andy Murray was recently asked if he could go back in time, what we he do differently.

“I would have changed some of the ways that I trained to maybe avoid the back surgery in the middle of my career.”

Kudos to Murray in that whenever he is asked a question, he always does his best to answer it in an honest and open manner.

“That was difficult and probably could have been avoided.”

Murray was a touch reflective when delving deeper with his response.

“I would have enjoyed the earlier part of my career more, for sure.”

“I found, you know, the years maybe between like 21 and 24 to 25 quite difficult at different stages.”

This candid attitude and his willingness to answer questions to the best of his ability are a part of his appeal.

It also helps that he can play quite a decent level of tennis. Also the fact that he has provided immense joy to millions of tennis fans across the globe, particularly to those in his home nation, just adds to his popularity.

At the end of Wimbledon 2017 will he need to turn back time to his former Wimbledon titles of 2013 or 2016 - or will this year’s tournament be an additional chapter to his ever growing legacy?

Only time will tell...
