It's likely that there will be a lot of complaining about the decision for the ICC T20 World Cup's play-offs to be determined, in some instances, by net run rate. It will be especially so if the Proteas somehow managed to beat England in their final group game on Saturday and still miss out on that calculation. But, as old fashioned as the measure might be perceived, it's perfect for the tournament, writes Heinz Schenk.
