Temba Bavuma's limited overs captaincy appointment might seem a gamble on the surface, but it actually makes a lot of sense, writes Lloyd Burnard.

Temba Bavuma, very suddenly, is standing front and centre as one of the most important figures in South African cricket.

This April, when the Proteas host Pakistan, the 30-year-old will become his country's 16th ODI captain and its 13th T20 captain.
