Wednesday night (and often afternoon, evening) Currie Cup rugby … it was always going to take a bit of getting used to.

Although SuperSport being cagey over viewing numbers allows you to draw some own conclusions anyway, my understanding is that TV interest so far has been less than exceptional.

That said, more traditional weekend kick-off time slots for the grimly-surviving domestic competition probably aren’t generating massive “eyeballs” either, so what’s causing problems on the swings isn’t necessarily being solved by the roundabouts.
