The Lions made cosmetic changes to their coaching staff, but left one position glaringly unchanged. By all estimation, Ricardo Loubscher and Albert van den Berg should have been contenders for the head coaching gig, which remained in Cash van Rooyen's clutches.

The Lions announcing cosmetic changes to their management team was akin to the Gauteng provincial government's lipstick campaign to combat gender-based violence (GBV) and commemorate Women's Month.

The geniuses at the Gauteng government thought sticking rouge lipstick on men would help fight the GBV scourge. All they achieved was getting laughs on social media, with some quipping that "it probably wasn't even Tom Ford".
