Proteas fast bowler Anrich Nortje remains in quarantine after a delay in his Covid-19 tests, which could see him out of the Delhi Capitals' IPL game against the Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday.
According to ESPNCricinfo, Nortje's test result is delayed due to the Maharashtra government's lockdown this week, which has affected logistics.
Meanwhile, according to multiple reports, Nortje has tested positive but the Delhi Capitals management has yet to confirm.
Nortje was one of the standout performers for the Capitals, picking up 22 wickets from 16 matches in his debut IPL season.
Nortje and fellow countryman Kagiso Rabada missed Delhi's opening game - a win over Chennai Super Kings - due to the mandatory seven-day quarantine.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) rule states that when a player tests positive for Covid-19, they must isolate in the designated area outside the bio-secure environment for a minimum of 10 days.
Meanwhile, Rabada has been cleared and joined Delhi in his first training session of the season on Wednesday.
The Delhi Capitals' next game is on Thursday when they take on Rajasthan Royals at 16:00.
