RESULT - Jos Buttler smashes unbeaten ton to steer Rajasthan Royals to IPL final

Chasing a modest 158 runs to advance through to the final, Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler smashed his fourth century as the Royals cruised to victory.

Buttler smashed an unbeaten 106 off 60 balls, hitting a whopping 10 fours and six sixes.

The Bangalore bowling attack faltered under Buttler and the Royals captured an emphatic seven-wicket victory with 11 balls remaining.

Earlier on, former Proteas batter Faf du Plessis shared a 70-run second-wicket partnership with Rajat Patidar before Du Plessis fell for 25.

Patidar top-scored with 58 off 42 balls (four fours and three sixes) as Bangalore stumbled to 130/3 to 157/8 in their 20 overs.

A 52-run partnership between opener Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson formed as Rajasthan inch closer to the IPL final.

Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva got the breakthrough as Samson was stumped for 23 off 21 balls (a four and two sixes). 

However, Buttler continues his onslaught with Bangalore going at 8.40 runs an over with a required run rate at 6.40..

After a 61-run opening stand, Bangalore finally got the breakthrough thanks to Josh Hazlewood.

Yashasvi Jaiswal tries to cut it but is caught by Virat Kohli for 21 off 13 balls (a four and two sixes).

Meanwhile, Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler continued his red-hot form as he notched up his fifth IPL half-century this season.

Buttler brought up his fifty off just 23 balls as Bangalore are currently going at 10.30 runs an over with required run rate down to 5.50.

A solid opening stand from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler has taken the game away.

They continue to smash several boundaries as Faf's Bangalore desperately search for wickets.

Rajasthan are currently going at 12.20 runs an over with the required run rate brought down to 6.46.

INNINGS - Faf scores 25 as Rajasthan need 158 runs to progress to IPL final

After being sent to bat first, the Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 157 after a late collapse in Ahmedabad.

Former Proteas batter Faf du Plessis shared a 70-run second-wicket partnership with Rajat Patidar before Du Plessis was caught for 25 off 27 balls.

Patidar, who scored an unbeaten century on Wednesday, stood tall once again for Bangalore as he made 58 off 42 balls (four fours and three sixes)

However, after Patidar's departure, Bangalore stumbled to 130/3 to 146/7. In the last five overs, Bangalore only scored 35 runs as they lost five wickets.

Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the Rajasthan bowling attack as he took three for 22, while Obed McCoy also captured three for 23 in his four overs.

A 70-run partnership between skipper Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar has formed, but West Indian Obed McCoy got the wicket of the Bangalore skipper.

Du Plessis tries to smash it over cover but is caught for 25 off 27 balls (three fours).

Shortly afterwards, Glenn Maxwell pulls but is caught by a splendid diving catch in the deep off the bowling of Trent Boult.

Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar brought up his IPL half-century off 40 balls.

Bangalore is currently going at 8.20 runs an over and are projected to make 172.

INNINGS - Patidar hits century as De Kock's Lucknow need 208 runs to win

After being sent to bat first, the Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the early wicket of skipper Faf du Plessis for a golden duck.

A 66-run second-wicket partnership between Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar formed before Kohli was caught for 25 off 24 balls.

Patidar stood tall and smashed his maiden IPL century off just 49 balls as he became the first uncapped player to score a hundred.

In the process, Patidar shared another vital unbeaten 90-run partnership with Dinesh Karthik.

Patidar ended unbeaten on 112 off 54 balls (hitting 12 fours and seven sixes) as Bangalore posted a massive total of 207/4 in their 20 overs.

Mohsin Khan was the pick of the Lucknow bowling attack as he took one for 25 in their four overs.
