Greetings! - Hello and welcome to the first of three ODIs in Bulawayo, where the Proteas are taking on Zimbabwe, having beaten them in a one-off Test earlier in the month. Will the hosts be able to put on a good performance, or will they replicate their series defeat to Afghanistan?
Toss: Toss! - Zimbabwe have won the toss and elected to field, a good call given the windy conditions.
Team news - Zimbabwe hand debuts to Luke Jongwe, Neville Madziva and John Nyumbu, while the Proteas have opted for a relatively safe line-up, with Kyle Abbott getting a game.
Over 1 SA 0/0 ( De Kock 0, Amla 0) - The SA batsmen have come out in long sleeves, it's chilly and overcast. De Kock faces the first ball from Shingi Masakadza and blows on his hands to warm them up afterwards. The next ball is lovely and moves past the bat. QdK can't get the ball away and they start with a maiden.
Over 2 SA 2/0 ( De Kock 0, Amla 2) - Neville Madziva bowls his first over in international cricket. He starts with a dot ball as Amla shoulders arms. The Proteas finally get off the mark with the last ball, as Amla clips it off his pads for two to long on.
Over 3 SA 4/0 ( De Kock 1, Amla 3) - QdK gets off the mark with a single to the leg side as Shingi bowls a bit too straight. Amla then returns the strike, and the last ball is a dot.
Over 4 SA 10/0 ( De Kock 1, Amla 9) - Amla cuts Madziva first ball for two, but the paceman responds with a lovely in swinger that Hash has to defend carefully. The first boundary of the innings comes as the debutant bowls short and wide, and Amla drive-cuts it through the covers. The last ball is similar, but the opener swings and misses.
Over 5 SA 19/0 ( De Kock 10, Amla 9) - De Kock gets his own boundary with a straight drive down the ground. The field is big but the outfield is fast, so the chasing fielder had no chance. QdK follows that up with a cracking square cut for four more. Bowlers are going too short now, they did better with fuller deliveries.
Over 6 SA 26/0 ( De Kock 15, Amla 9) - The over starts with two leg byes as Madziva continues. De Kock adds another four to his tally with another crunching cut as the debutant struggles with his line. They end the over with a single.
Over 7 SA 33/0 ( De Kock 21, Amla 10) - Shingi continues to QdK, who pulls the first ball but can only get a single. It's baffling why the paceers are bowling so short now are starting off so well. Amla gets another single, before De Kock drives a wider one for four.
Over 8 SA 42/0 ( De Kock 30, Amla 10) - Bash! De Kock starts the over with a blistering pull for four. Why is Chigumbura not telling them to pitch it up? Madziva then has three dots balls when pitching it up, before another short one sees De Kock pull it for four more.
Over 9 SA 56/0 ( De Kock 43, Amla 11) - Six! De Kock scoops Shingi high and handsome to the leg side. They add two more singles and a double before De Kock ends the over with a smashed drive right back over the bowler's head. Nasty.
Over 10 SA 60/0 ( De Kock 44, Amla 14) - Another debutant, teenager Luke Jongwe, has the ball. His first ball is full to Amla, who taps it to mid on for none. They do manage to collect four varied runs, and it's a decent over from Jongwe. No boundaries at least!
Over 11 SA 64/0 ( De Kock 46, Amla 16) - Another bowling change as spinner Prosper Utseya comes on. De Kock gets off strike with a single, before Amla faces three dots balls. He bags a single of his own though, with Prosper keeping it tight. They end the over with two more singles.
Over 12 SA 73/0 ( De Kock 50, Amla 21) - Amla gets cheeky against Jongwe and guides the ball to a vacant third man for four. Though is it cheeky if you're one of the top three batsmen in the world? He gets off strike with a quick single, and Jongwe is looking quite good. Much fuller deliveries so he's getting movement. He's not very quick though, so any mistake is punished, as De Kock nudges one off his pads to fine leg for two. FIFTY! De Kcock gets his half ton with a pull for two. Lovely stuff.
Over 13 SA 76/0 ( De Kock 51, Amla 23) - A reminder that De Kock doesn't have an ODI fifty. He only has centuries. Will he convert this one too? Utseya continues, and Amla flicks his wrists for a quick single.
Over 14 SA 80/0 (De Kock 53, Amla 25) - Another bowling change as Sean Williams comes on. Amla gets off strike with a single. Three more follow, as the spinners continue to pull back the scoring rate.
Over 15 SA 82/0 (De Kock 54, Amla 26) - Utseya continues and De Kock is enjoying this passage of play a lot less, we can tell. He and Amla both get a single but that's it from the over. Solid stuff. #boringmiddleovers?
ver 16 SA 84/0 (De Kock 55, Amla 27) - Williams keeps tightening the screws, pitching it full and just outside off, making anything more than a single difficult. As it is, they only get another single each.
Over 16 SA 84/0 (De Kock 55, Amla 27) - Williams keeps tightening the screws, pitching it full and just outside off, making anything more than a single difficult. As it is, they only get another single each.
Over 17 SA 86/0 (De Kock 56, Amla 28) - Two more singles! Drinks break. The batsmen will discuss a way to break this little rut, though won't be overly concerned.
Over 18 SA 93/0 (De Kock 61, Amla 30) - Williams continues, and there's a boundary at last! De Kock reverse sweeps the spinner for four to break the little deadlock. Before that, Amla had added two singles and De Kock the one.
Over 19 SA 102/0 (De Kock 63, Amla 35) - The third debutant, spinner John Nyumbu, takes over from Utseya, and is immediately belted for four by Amla. Too full and wide. They bring up the 100 with two leg byes, before De Kock ends the over with two down the ground.
Over 20 SA 108/0 (De Kock 63, Amla 36) - The pitch is holding the ball up a lot, it seems tough to get it away, unless it's with a bit of luck. Williams gives up five wides down the leg side, before Amla nips a single.
Wicket: Over 21 SA 110/1 (Amla 37. Du Plessis 1) - WICKET! De Kock's run of centuries is broken as Nyumbu gets his first ODI wicket. The opener couldn't get enough of the bat on it and hit it to Brendan Taylor at backward point. In comes Faf du Plessis, who gets off the mark last ball.
Over 22 SA 111/1 (Amla 37. Du Plessis 1) - Three dots and then Williams bowls a wide. Just the wide from the over, South Africa 111 for 1.

Over 24 SA 120/1 (Amla 41, Du Plessis 6) - A couple of dots and then three singles keeps the score card ticking. Amla cuts the shorter ball to deep point for a couple of runs, a misfield makes it an easy two. 5 from the over.

- The players are out on the field and they're mumbling along to the anthems. Not a massive crowd, and the wind is pumping!
