Cobras' title drought sparks fire in new skipper Zubayr Hamza

The Cape Cobras have become one of the most successful franchises in the country and have produced some of the world's best cricketers, but they have not won any silverware since 2013.

It's a worrisome statistic for the proud franchise and it's something that Zubayr Hamza is fully aware of in his new role as Cobras captain.

"This was something I was hoping to achieve one day and now that it's here, I can use this platform, to not overpower, but to lead the team in the right direction," Hamza told Sport24 at Newlands earlier this week.
