Is it dangerous to even take for granted that the cobweb-covered Proteas will join the backlog deluge of international cricket across the globe, once the Indian Premier League has run its course?

That may seem a flippant observation, but so deep has been the chaos, division and dysfunctionality on several fronts in the corridors of Cricket South Africa over the past few months that normal service is hardly guaranteed.

CSA is effectively under the administrative charge of Sascoc, a controversy-stained entity in itself; presently has several raw, interim personnel occupying key positions and cashflow and major sponsorship issues as sources of massive concern.
