South Africa able to hit the ground running against India for the now-confirmed first Test at SuperSport Park on Boxing Day? Well, here’s hoping.

The first hurdle, of course, is just to ensure the tourists get here safely and there are no other health-related setbacks for their three-Test visit plus three one-day internationals that are so critical to Cricket South Africa’s embattled coffers.
