Newly-appointed Proteas white-ball coach Rob Walter likened the feeling of being informed of his appointment to his new post to having the butterflies of meeting his wife.
Walter isn't new to the Proteas, having worked as their strength and conditioning coach before moving back to the Titans, said he'd just returned from a training camp with the team he coaches, the Central Stags before Christmas, when the news dropped.
Walter was announced in his position by Cricket South Africa's director of cricket, Enoch Nkwe, on Monday alongside Shukri Conrad as the split-format replacements for Mark Boucher.
