Two bowling all-rounders in the latest South African men’s Twenty20 international squad, for a bilateral series in India next month, could be seeking more than just security through to the next T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.

Wayne Parnell and Dwaine Pretorius cannot – or at least should not -- be left out of the problematic conversation around versatile players for the Proteas’ Test party when they travel to England for a three-match series from August, either.
