When George Linde first appeared on the radar for international purposes, “left-arm spinner” was his overwhelmingly premier branding. 

At very least from a Twenty20 point of view, that label warrants being changed now to “all-rounder” … an important difference that could help seal his passage for South Africa later this year to the ICC T20 World Cup in India.

Dedicated domestic cricket-watchers had already known for some time that the tall Capetonian - in service to his only franchise thus far the Cobras - could hold a bat, too, as they say.
