Thousands of spectators turned out to witness local favourite Thriston Lawrence clinch a nervy victory at this past weekend's Investec South African Open Championship.

The SA Open is storied with history, which dates back to 1903, and it's the second oldest national Open in golf behind the Open Championship.

This year's SA Open returned to the DP World Tour and is the second co-sanctioned event of five taking place in South Africa on the DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour schedule.
