The 150th Open Championship is under way at St Andrews Old Course in Scotland.

There are 11 South Africans in the 156-man elite field this week as they vie for the Claret Jug at the 'Home of Golf'.

The last time a South African lifted the famed Claret Jug was in 2012 when Ernie Els won by single stroke at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
