South African duo Louis Oosthuizen and Dylan Frittelli made the cut for the PGA Tour's penultimate playoff event, the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields CC.

Only the Top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings advanced through to Illinois this week.

SA's top ranked golfer Oosthuizen birdied the 72nd hole at the Northern Trust to secure the last spot in the Top 70.

The 2010 Open Championship winner carded 2-over 73 in the final round to end tied for 13th on 13-under.

Frittelli currently sits 59th in the FedEx Cup standings despite missing the weekend cut on Sunday.

The 30-year-old played with 15-time major winner Tiger Woods for the first time in the opening round of the Northern Trust.

Frittelli is the last South African to have won a PGA Tour title - the John Deere Classic title last year.

The Top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings advance to PGA Tour playoff finale, Tour Championship at East Lake next month.
