Branden Grace's win at the Puerto Rico Open came just five weeks after his father's death due to complications associated to Covid-19 in January.
And the emotion of that loss came to the fore during the interview following the fourth round where Grace said his wife had told him that his father would provide him with the guidance he needed over the final 18 holes.
"I spoke to my mom this morning and my wife told me my dad's with me, he's watching over me, he'll give me the guidance I need and he did," said Grace following his victory.
That win sees Grace move up to 83rd in the world golf rankings and gives him a two-year exemption to the PGA Tour,
