2020 began with so much promise when, in January, Branden Grace sealed the SA Open title in front of roaring crowds at Randpark Golf Club in Johannesburg.

Two months later, South Africa went into a nationwide hard lockdown to help combat the spread of Covid-19.

Golf courses all across the country were forced to close down and 77 days of golf - at all levels - were lost in 2020.
