South African David Watts has always had a passion and love for sports.
Watts, who hails from Durban, was born with Fibular Hemimelia, a birth defect where part or all of the fibula bone is missing. From the age of two, Watts had his ankle fused as well as various other medical procedures that would follow throughout his childhood.
For many disabled people, sport is inaccessible. However, that didn't stop an ambitious Watts from going the distance.
