United have started well and send Shaw away down the left and his cross finds Martial, but Brighton do well to clear the danger. The away side look sharp and hungry here.
Brighton have a shot as Lamptey drills in a shot which falls to Stephens, who shoots high and wide from distance.
Pogba tries a big switch of play for Man Utd but the midfielder overhits his pass and it runs out for a goalkick.
Brighton send Connolly scurrying away but the striker is judged to have handled the pass before he can get a shot away. The speedy forward is proving a handful so far.
Post! Pogba sets up Fernandes on the edge of the box and the Portuguese midfielder strikes his shot against the post from 25 yards! That was nearly the opener for Man Utd.
GOAL! Greenwood! Man Utd have the lead as Wan-Bissaka finds Greenwood and the youngster does a stepover and fires a low shot past Ryan at the near post. That's 13 goals for the season now. Brighton 0-1 Man Utd.
United are again on the attack and Shaw links up with Rashford but the left back can't pick out a teammate inside the box.
Man Utd win a freekick and Fernandes takes it from a promising position, but his attempt sails over the bar.
Utd break at speed and Martial wins a corner. Fernandes delivers from the left and Maguire gets his head to the delivery, but he steers the effort wide.
The players are taking the usual drinks break. A chance for Brighton to re-organise and adjust their tactical plan.

GOAL! Fernandes! Shaw gets in-behind on the left side and his pull-back finds Pogba. The French man tees up Fernandes and the midfielder's shot takes a massive deflection and beats Ryan in the Seagulls goal. Brighton 0-2 Man Utd.
Pogba fouls Lamptey but Brighton don't make much of the freekick. The young Brighton wide man has been one of the bright spots in a poor display from the home side so far.
There has been a lull in the game with Man Utd dominating possession and Brighton trying to keep the scoreline at 2-0 heading into half time.
Pogba makes a nice pass into Rashford in the inside left position but the attackers strike his shot high and wide from 25 yards.
Montoya delivers a deep cross for Brighton but Pogba does well to defend in the air and stop Burn from getting much contact on his header. That's good defending as the interval approaches.
Utd have a great spell of pressure and when Brighton break, Greenwood takes down Connolly. The Man Utd attacker somehow avoids a yellow card for that cynical foul.
HALF TIME. Goals in the 16th and 29th minutes from Greenwood and Fernandes give Man Utd a 2-0 lead at the break, leaving Brighton a mountain to climb.
The second half is underway.
Double sub at the break for Brighton as Lamptey and Propper are taken off with Maupay and Trossard coming on.
Yellow! Shaw goes into the book for tripping Bissouma, who has started the second half very well.
GOAL! Fernandes! Man Utd counter attack at speed as Matic plays a brilliant pass to send Greenwood racing away the left and youngster spots Fernandes at the back post and picks him out to volley home at the back post - a lovely finish. Brighton 0-3 Man Ut
Brighton get Burn up the left and he crosses towards Trossard, but De Gea catches the low cross well to avert the danger.
Brighton put together a lovely move to move the ball up the pitch but Connolly can't find Maupay with his cross to cap good buildup play with a shot.
Chance! Pogba hacks down Trossard and Brighton use a clever freekick routine as Argentine midfielder Mac Allister finds Trossard to strike across goal and just wide of the far post.
Now Mac Allister hits a deep cross from the right and Trossard tries an ambitious volley for Brighton but it sails high and wide from the Belgian midfielder.
SUBS: Man Utd are making a triple change here with the game won. Fernandes is replaced by McTominay, Williams replaces Fred and Pereira replaces Pogba.
Wan-Bissaka makes a good dribble up the right, beats Burn and plays a nice cross which Williams heads wide via a deflection.
The players are enjoying a drinks break midway through the second half.
Good save! Connolly receives just inside the box from Trossard for Brighton and fires off a curling shot which De Gea does well to save.
Man Utd are looking a bit less fluid since Pogba and Fernandes went off.
Pereira is caught on the ball for Man Utd and Matic has to make an excellent tackle to deny Maupay.
Now Maupay tests De Gea with a powerful left-footed shot but the goalkeeper saves well with a strong hand to push the ball to safety.
SUBS: Man Utd make a double change here to save the legs of attackers Martial and Rashford as James and Ighalo come in to the fray.
SUBS: Brighton make a double change as Mooy replaces Mac Allister and Dunk goes off to be replaced by Bernardo.
McTominay forces an excellent save of a Matt Ryan in the Seagulls goal. Nearly 4-0 there to the visitors.
Dan James has two shots in quick succession for Man Utd after coming in off the left wing but Ryan saves both attempts comfortably.
Brighton have improved in this second half and have had 50% of the ball, having managed just 31% possession in the first stanza.

FULL TIME. Man Utd get a deserved 3-0 win thanks to a goal by Greenwood and then a brace by Fernandes. Brighton improved going forward but couldn't register a goal. That's now 15 games unbeaten in all competitions for Man Utd.
