Close! Alexander-Arnold delivers a cross for Liverpool and it is headed clear to Firmino, whose shot is deflected narrowly wide of goal. That was nearly a goal for the Brazilian forward.
GOAL! Salah! Propper loses the ball inside his own half to Keita, who picks out Salah to easily curl a shot past Matt Ryan. That's a soft goal for the hosts to concede. Brighton 0-1 Liverpool.
GOAL! Henderson! Liverpool double their lead. Brighton give the ball away in their own half again and Henderson receives from Salah and curls home a lovely strike. Brighton 0-2 Liverpool.
Brighton threaten to get in-behind as Gross plays a ball over the top but Alisson anticipates the pass well and heads clear the danger from outside his box.
Keita makes a great dribble though the Brighton midfield and finds Salah for a chance inside the box but the Egyptian strikes his right footed shot with too little power and Ryan can save easily.
Lamptey fouls Firmino to stop a Liverpool attack but the visitors wanted advantage to be played as they were on the attack and had space to exploit. That's a poor call by referee, Craig Pawson.
CHANCE! Brighton nearly pull a goal back as Gross' cross falls to Trossard but youngster Neco Williams makes a crucial last-gasp challenge to save a goal for Liverpool.

Trossard goes down claiming that Gomez elbowed him but VAR takes a look and decides no action needs to be taken. Replays show that the defender may have caught the attacker in the neck but it wasn't worthy of a red card.
